Almost every major live dealer casino in NJ streams its tables from studios in Atlantic City, most of them run by Evolution. For the widest choice, DraftKings and Hard Rock Bet each list 70+ live games. FanDuel, BetRivers, Fanatics and Caesars Palace Online add tables you won’t find at other casinos. You need to be 21 and physically in New Jersey to sit down.
Live dealer games count for little or nothing toward most bonus wagering, so the welcome offer matters less here than the lobby. The table below compares the main options.

The Atlantic City studios behind NJ live lobbies
New Jersey put live dealer games online before any other state, and the studios behind its live lobbies are in Atlantic City.
- Golden Nugget, 2016. Golden Nugget opened the first US online live dealer studio in August 2016, in its Atlantic City casino, built with Ezugi.
- Evolution, 2018. Evolution opened its first US live casino studio in New Jersey in August 2018. Its first NJ partners included Resorts, Hard Rock Atlantic City and Ocean. Evolution now runs studios at Hard Rock Atlantic City, Tropicana and Ocean Casino Resort, and supplies most NJ live lobbies.
- Playtech, 2021. Playtech launched its New Jersey live studio in December 2021 through an arrangement with bet365, starting with roulette, blackjack, baccarat and Quantum Roulette.
- Caesars, 2025. Caesars and Evolution opened a studio inside Tropicana Atlantic City around April 2025, with five blackjack tables, one baccarat and one roulette table, on felts themed after Caesars Palace and Horseshoe in Las Vegas. It serves Caesars Palace Online, Horseshoe and the Caesars Sportsbook & Casino app.
Evolution is still growing in the city. In February 2026 it announced a 60,000-square-foot studio and tech center on the second floor of the Showboat, expected to employ about 1,200 people once open, subject to DGE approval.
Branded and exclusive tables: one operator's logo on the felt
Most live tables are shared: the same Evolution blackjack game may show up in five different casino lobbies. Branded tables are dedicated to one operator, with its logo on the felt and its own table limits.
- Caesars has its own studio, with a VIP one-to-one high-limit blackjack table among the five.
- BetRivers launched three blackjack tables exclusive to its players in September 2021.
- DraftKings carries DraftKings-branded blackjack and roulette.
- FanDuel runs FanDuel-branded tables alongside its Evolution and Playtech lobby.
- Fanatics has Fanatics Blackjack Live and a VIP version.
- BetMGM and Borgata share Dual Play Roulette, launched in August 2023. It streams a real roulette table on the Borgata casino floor, so online players bet on the same spin as people standing at the wheel.
Live blackjack: seven-seat tables, Infinite Blackjack and more
Live blackjack is the most common live game in New Jersey. Expect three broad types:
- Standard seven-seat tables, where you take a seat and play your own hand against the dealer.
- Infinite Blackjack, where everyone plays the same initial cards and makes their own decisions, so there’s never a full table.
- Variants with rule twists, such as Free Bet Blackjack and Speed Blackjack, both part of Evolution’s NJ lineup.
Rules change from table to table, so check whether the dealer stands or hits on soft 17 and what a blackjack pays before you sit down. A table that pays 6:5 instead of 3:2 costs you far more than any side bet.
Live roulette: American double-zero vs. European single-zero wheels
New Jersey lobbies carry both American roulette, with 0 and 00, and European-style single-zero wheels. The difference matters. A double-zero wheel has 38 pockets, so a $10 straight-up bet paying 35:1 loses $0.53 on average per spin, a 5.26% house edge. A single-zero wheel has 37 pockets and cuts that to 2.70%, or $0.27 per $10.
Beyond standard tables, you’ll find multiplier games built on a roulette wheel:
- Lightning Roulette adds random multipliers to straight-up numbers.
- Quantum Roulette, from Playtech, works on a similar idea.
- Red Door Roulette, which Evolution launched in New Jersey in May 2025, mixes roulette with the Crazy Time bonus wheel.
- Dual Play Roulette at BetMGM and Borgata, streamed from the Borgata floor.
Multiplier games usually pay less than 35:1 on a straight-up win to fund the multipliers, so read the payout table first.
Game shows like Crazy Time: wheel-and-host games in NJ lobbies
Game shows use a wheel or a host rather than a card table, and they play more like a TV show than a casino game. Titles verified in New Jersey include:
- Crazy Time, Evolution’s money wheel with four bonus games, launched in NJ in December 2023.
- Crazy Coin Flip, launched in NJ the week before Crazy Time.
- Dream Catcher, a single money wheel.
- Football Studio, a one-card, high-or-low game with a sports theme.
- Side Bet City, a poker-based game built around side bets.
- Adventures Beyond Wonderland, Playtech’s wheel game, available at bet365.
bet365’s Evolution launch in February 2025 brought Crazy Time, Dream Catcher, Lightning Roulette, craps, baccarat and several blackjack variants to its NJ app at once.
Why welcome bonuses count 0% to 20% on live tables
This is where live players lose out. Most NJ welcome offers are built for slots, and live dealer games typically count for 0% to 20% toward wagering.
Here’s the math. BetMGM’s 100% match up to $1,000 carries 15x wagering on the match within 14 days, so a $1,000 bonus needs $15,000 in eligible bets. On slots, that’s $15,000 of spins. If a casino counted live blackjack at 10%, the same bonus would need $150,000 in live blackjack hands, which no one should attempt. At 0%, live play doesn’t clear the bonus at all.
So for a live dealer player, the best welcome offers are those with no strings attached to table play:
- Lossback offers refund net losses as casino credit. BetRivers returns your first 24 hours of net losses back up to $500, with 1x wagering within 30 days. Check which games the credit can be played on.
- Bonus spins offers, such as DraftKings’ up to 1,000 Flex Spins for a $5 wager, cost little and leave your live dealer bankroll untouched.

Table limits, minimum bets and how to join a game
Every live table shows its minimum and maximum bet on the lobby tile before you join. Shared tables usually have the lowest minimums because they pool players from many casinos, while branded and VIP tables set their own, often higher, limits. Live games have no demo mode, so you’ll play with real money from the first hand.
To play, open the live casino tab in your casino’s app or site, pick a table, and place your bet before the timer runs out. The dealer deals real cards or spins a real wheel, and cameras read the result onto your screen. You can type in the chat, and the dealer will reply on camera. Live tables also run in the casino apps. See our NJ casino apps guide for which apps rate best.
Live Dealer Casinos in NJ Compared: Tables, Limits and Game Shows
About 20% of New Jersey’s online gaming now runs through live dealer tables, according to Evolution’s North America CEO Jacob Claesson, and the supplier is building for more. Its planned 60,000-square-foot studio and tech center at the Showboat in Atlantic City was still awaiting Division of Gaming Enforcement approval in late September, while NJ apps keep adding branded tables, game shows and wheels streamed straight off a casino floor. Here is how the main lobbies compare.
NJ live dealer casinos by the numbers
New Jersey’s online casinos won $274.8 million in September 2026, up 13.0% on a year earlier, according to the DGE’s monthly release on October 19. Year-to-date internet gaming win reached $2.40 billion, up 13.2%.
The state doesn’t split out live dealer revenue. If Claesson’s 20% figure is applied to that win, live tables would account for roughly $480 million through nine months. That is our estimate, based on 20% of the $2.40 billion year-to-date total, not a regulator figure.
Evolution runs studios at Hard Rock Atlantic City, Tropicana and Ocean Casino Resort and employs about 1,000 people in the city. The Showboat site is expected to employ about 1,200 once it is running. Evolution also launched its second brand, Ezugi, in New Jersey in October 2025 with EZ Baccarat and Ultimate Auto Roulette. Playtech has run its own NJ live studio since December 2021.
Comparing live casino lobbies: tables and exclusives
Almost every licensed site uses Evolution, so the real differences are table count, branded rooms and secondary providers.
| Casino | Live tables | Providers | Standout feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| DraftKings | 70+ | Evolution | DraftKings-branded blackjack and roulette |
| Hard Rock Bet | 70+ | Evolution | One of the deepest lobbies in the state |
| FanDuel | 35+ | Evolution, Playtech | Branded tables; roulette from $0.20 to $10,000 |
| Borgata | 25+ | Evolution | Dual Play Roulette from the Borgata floor |
| Caesars Palace Online | 7 in its own Tropicana studio, plus shared tables | Evolution | VIP one-to-one blackjack, Remote Roulette |
| BetMGM | Not published | Evolution, Ezugi | Dual Play Roulette, Infinite Blackjack, Lightning Roulette |
| bet365 | Not published | Evolution, Playtech | Playtech’s Adventures Beyond Wonderland |
DraftKings Casino and Hard Rock Bet lead on sheer volume. FanDuel Casino has fewer tables but adds Playtech content to its Evolution feed. Caesars took a different route. Its studio inside Tropicana opened in April 2025 with five blackjack tables, one baccarat table and one roulette table, all dressed in Caesars Palace and Horseshoe branding.
Table limits: where low and high rollers fit
Limits sit on each lobby tile, and the pattern is the same across apps. Shared Evolution tables carry the lowest minimums, while branded and VIP tables start higher.
- Low stakes: FanDuel’s live roulette starts at $0.20. DraftKings offers low minimums on Lightning Roulette and Casino Hold’em.
- High stakes: FanDuel’s VIP roulette wheel goes up to $10,000. Caesars Palace Online offers a one-to-one, high-limit VIP blackjack table from its Tropicana studio.
- In between: Branded blackjack rooms at DraftKings, FanDuel and Caesars set their own limits, so check the minimum on the tile before you sit down.
The practical point: if you play small, the shared Evolution tables are where your money lasts longest. Branded rooms are mostly about atmosphere.
Live game shows and floor-linked tables
Game shows are the fastest-moving part of the lobby. Evolution’s Crazy Time went live in New Jersey in December 2023, joining Dream Catcher, Football Studio, Side Bet City and Crazy Coin Flip. Lightning Roulette, a staple at BetMGM Casino, adds random multipliers of up to 500x. Playtech’s Adventures Beyond Wonderland gives bet365 Casino a show you won’t find in every Evolution lobby.
The more interesting trend is the casino floor going online. BetMGM and Borgata have streamed Dual Play Roulette from Borgata’s floor since August 2023. In September 2026, Caesars added Remote Roulette, where online players join a physical wheel on the Tropicana floor alongside in-person guests. “This live dealer experience extends the excitement of our casino floor to online players across New Jersey,” said Gregg Klein, Tropicana’s general manager.
Our view: depth beats branding
Because most tables come from the same Evolution studios, the brand name on the felt matters less than three things: how many tables are open when you log in, the stake range, and what the play earns in rewards.
On that basis, DraftKings and Hard Rock Bet are the safest picks for choice at busy times. FanDuel is the best fit for players who move between small and large stakes. Caesars and the BetMGM–Borgata pairing are the picks if you want a real Atlantic City floor on your screen. Anyone playing live tables regularly should compare casino loyalty and VIP programs, since rewards are part of what your play earns. Our full guide to live dealer casinos in NJ tracks every lobby.
Live dealer in New Jersey: the 2027 outlook
Capacity is the constraint. Claesson has said it is hard to find one building in Atlantic City big enough for all the tables Evolution needs. A Showboat approval would ease that and leave room for more floor-linked games like Remote Roulette.
The demand is already there. Online gambling revenue beat in-person casino revenue in Atlantic City for three consecutive months through January 2026. If internet win keeps growing at around 13% a year and live dealer holds its roughly 20% share, live tables would generate on the order of $700 million in New Jersey in 2027. That is our estimate: we annualized the $2.40 billion nine-month total to about $3.2 billion, applied 13% growth, and took 20%. Expect more operator-branded studios and more hybrid floor-and-online tables as each brand looks for a difference players can see.
