Live dealer casino NJ: where to play live blackjack, roulette and game shows

Almost every major live dealer casino in NJ streams its tables from studios in Atlantic City, most of them run by Evolution. For the widest choice, DraftKings and Hard Rock Bet each list 70+ live games. FanDuel, BetRivers, Fanatics and Caesars Palace Online add tables you won’t find at other casinos. You need to be 21 and physically in New Jersey to sit down.

Live dealer games count for little or nothing toward most bonus wagering, so the welcome offer matters less here than the lobby. The table below compares the main options.

Best live dealer casinos in New Jersey

Most other NJ casinos, including Bally, Tropicana, Stardust, PlayStar and theScore Bet, also carry Evolution tables. Wheel of Fortune Casino is one of the few with no live dealer section.

Where NJ live dealer games come from

New Jersey put live dealer games online before any other state, and the studios behind its live lobbies are in Atlantic City.

• Golden Nugget, 2016. Golden Nugget opened the first US online live dealer studio in August 2016, in its Atlantic City casino, built with Ezugi.
• Evolution, 2018. Evolution opened its first US live casino studio in New Jersey in August 2018. Its first NJ partners included Resorts, Hard Rock Atlantic City and Ocean. Evolution now runs studios at Hard Rock Atlantic City, Tropicana and Ocean Casino Resort, and supplies most NJ live lobbies.
• Playtech, 2021. Playtech launched its New Jersey live studio in December 2021 through an arrangement with bet365, starting with roulette, blackjack, baccarat and Quantum Roulette.
• Caesars, 2025. Caesars and Evolution opened a studio inside Tropicana Atlantic City around April 2025, with five blackjack tables, one baccarat and one roulette table, on felts themed after Caesars Palace and Horseshoe in Las Vegas. It serves Caesars Palace Online, Horseshoe and the Caesars Sportsbook & Casino app.

Evolution is still growing in the city. In February 2026 it announced a 60,000-square-foot studio and tech center on the second floor of the Showboat, expected to employ about 1,200 people once open, subject to DGE approval.

Branded and exclusive live tables

Most live tables are shared: the same Evolution blackjack game may show up in five different casino lobbies. Branded tables are dedicated to one operator, with its logo on the felt and its own table limits.

• Caesars has its own studio, with a VIP one-to-one high-limit blackjack table among the five.
• BetRivers launched three blackjack tables exclusive to its players in September 2021.
• DraftKings carries DraftKings-branded blackjack and roulette.
• FanDuel runs FanDuel-branded tables alongside its Evolution and Playtech lobby.
• Fanatics has Fanatics Blackjack Live and a VIP version.
• BetMGM and Borgata share Dual Play Roulette, launched in August 2023. It streams a real roulette table on the Borgata casino floor, so online players bet on the same spin as people standing at the wheel.

Live blackjack in NJ

Live blackjack is the most common live game in New Jersey. Expect three broad types:

• Standard seven-seat tables, where you take a seat and play your own hand against the dealer.
• Infinite Blackjack, where everyone plays the same initial cards and makes their own decisions, so there’s never a full table.
• Variants with rule twists, such as Free Bet Blackjack and Speed Blackjack, both part of Evolution’s NJ lineup.

Rules change from table to table, so check whether the dealer stands or hits on soft 17 and what a blackjack pays before you sit down. A table that pays 6:5 instead of 3:2 costs you far more than any side bet.

Live roulette in NJ

New Jersey lobbies carry both American roulette, with 0 and 00, and European-style single-zero wheels. The difference matters. A double-zero wheel has 38 pockets, so a $10 straight-up bet paying 35:1 loses $0.53 on average per spin, a 5.26% house edge. A single-zero wheel has 37 pockets and cuts that to 2.70%, or $0.27 per $10.

Beyond standard tables, you’ll find multiplier games built on a roulette wheel:

• Lightning Roulette adds random multipliers to straight-up numbers.
• Quantum Roulette, from Playtech, works on a similar idea.
• Red Door Roulette, which Evolution launched in New Jersey in May 2025, mixes roulette with the Crazy Time bonus wheel.
• Dual Play Roulette at BetMGM and Borgata, streamed from the Borgata floor.

Multiplier games usually pay less than 35:1 on a straight-up win to fund the multipliers, so read the payout table first.

Live game shows in New Jersey

Game shows use a wheel or a host rather than a card table, and they play more like a TV show than a casino game. Titles verified in New Jersey include:

• Crazy Time, Evolution’s money wheel with four bonus games, launched in NJ in December 2023.
• Crazy Coin Flip, launched in NJ the week before Crazy Time.
• Dream Catcher, a single money wheel.
• Football Studio, a one-card, high-or-low game with a sports theme.
• Side Bet City, a poker-based game built around side bets.
• Adventures Beyond Wonderland, Playtech’s wheel game, available at bet365.

bet365’s Evolution launch in February 2025 brought Crazy Time, Dream Catcher, Lightning Roulette, craps, baccarat and several blackjack variants to its NJ app at once.

Live dealer games and casino bonuses

This is where live players lose out. Most NJ welcome offers are built for slots, and live dealer games typically count for 0% to 20% toward wagering.

Here’s the math. BetMGM’s 100% match up to $1,000 carries 15x wagering on the match within 14 days, so a $1,000 bonus needs $15,000 in eligible bets. On slots, that’s $15,000 of spins. If a casino counted live blackjack at 10%, the same bonus would need $150,000 in live blackjack hands, which no one should attempt. At 0%, live play doesn’t clear the bonus at all.

So for a live dealer player, the best welcome offers are those with no strings attached to table play:

• Lossback offers refund net losses as casino credit. BetRivers returns your first 24 hours of net losses back up to $500, with 1x wagering within 30 days. Check which games the credit can be played on.
• Bonus spins offers, such as DraftKings’ up to 1,000 Flex Spins for a $5 wager, cost little and leave your live dealer bankroll untouched.

Table limits and how to play

Every live table shows its minimum and maximum bet on the lobby tile before you join. Shared tables usually have the lowest minimums because they pool players from many casinos, while branded and VIP tables set their own, often higher, limits. Live games have no demo mode, so you’ll play with real money from the first hand.

To play, open the live casino tab in your casino’s app or site, pick a table, and place your bet before the timer runs out. The dealer deals real cards or spins a real wheel, and cameras read the result onto your screen. You can type in the chat, and the dealer will reply on camera. Live tables also run in the casino apps. See our NJ casino apps guide for which apps rate best.

Is live dealer casino legal in NJ?

Yes. Live dealer games are licensed and tested like any other online casino game, and the Division of Gaming Enforcement approves both the operators and the studios.
