As we head into the final stretch of the NFL season, it’s a great time to examine some Super Bowl 59 odds and things to bet on with NJ.Bet guide.
It’s the Detroit Lions (+270 at FanDuel) who have the best odds to win Super Bowl 59, with the two-time defending champion KC Chiefs (+550 at FD) with the second shortest odds.
Super Bowl 59 Top 5 Betting Favorites
As mentioned above, the Detroit Lions are the betting favorite to win Super Bowl 59 with the Chiefs right behind them to win their third straight Lombardi trophy.
However, there is some better value out there and the Philadelphia Eagles are one team to keep an eye on, led by running back Saquon Barkley and one of the NFL’s top defenses, they are currently +650 at FanDuel Sportsbook, which is the third shortest odds.
Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills are +700 at FanDuel, but keep in mind the Bills have never won a Super Bowl, could this year be their year? They will have to get by Kansas City and Baltimore in a tough AFC field. The Ravens, with LaMar Jackson and Derrick Henry, are a formidable opponent and can be bet on at +750 at FanDuel Sportsbook.
Super Bowl 59 Value Plays
While Philadelphia, Buffalo, and Baltimore offer good value, there are a few other teams that you can get even better value on in a wide-open NFL field.
Two AFC West teams stand out to me, with the Denver Broncos (+5500 at Fanduel) and the LA Chargers (+3500 at DraftKings) the most interesting in the AFC field. Both teams have terrific defenses and growing offenses. The two teams are No. 1 and 2 in the NFL in points per game allowed, giving them a chance to be in every game they play. The Chargers offense is led by talented quarterback Justin Herbert, who is looking more comfortable in his new offense.
Rookie Bo Nix has come a long way since the start of the season and is a true weapon with both his arm and his legs.
On the NFC side, keep an eye on San Francisco and the Rams, both from the NFC West. The 49ers (+7000 at DraftKings) are the defending NFC champions and have struggled with injuries all season, but they are getting healthy with Christian McCaffery back for the stretch run of the season. In a wide-open NFC West race, the 49ers offer too much value to ignore at the price.
Meanwhile, if it’s not the 49ers, it could be their rivals, the Rams. LA (+12000 at DraftKings) has had its own injury issues but is healthy for the final stretch and has plenty of weapons and a young defense that could carry them to the playoffs and make a run.
There are a few other teams that have some longshot odds, but have the talent and could get hot at the right time like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+8000 BetMGM NJ), Bengals (+10000 at BetMGM), Falcons (+10000 at bet365 NJ)and Seahawks (+12000 at DK) to name a few.
How to bet Super Bowl 59
The most common bets for the Super Bowl include the money line, the point spread and the Over/Under.
- Moneyline: You pick which team you think will win the game outright.
- Point spread: The team you pick has to cover the spread. (Ex. Eagles + 6 over the Bills, Eagles have to win the game by at least 7 points)
- Over/under: Bet on total points in the game. (Ex. Over/Under 48 – if you bet over, the total of the two teams must be over 48)
You can also do live bets during the game and prop bets before the game.
