What changed
PokerStars NJ closed on the morning of April 1, 2026 and reopened hours later as PokerStars Exclusively on FanDuel. The deal was announced on March 3, 2026, and FanDuel is now the only home of PokerStars in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
There was no account migration. Former players had to withdraw, open a FanDuel account, redeposit and download new software. The old PokerStars Rewards program closed on March 13, 2026.
PokerStars’ casino games are gone in New Jersey. FanDuel’s own casino and sportsbook share the poker wallet instead.
PokerStars on FanDuel network and player pool
New Jersey and Michigan had shared players since January 1, 2023. Pennsylvania joined when the FanDuel platform launched in April 2026, creating a three-state pool for cash games and tournaments.
You must be 21 and physically in one of the three states. Residency doesn’t matter.
PokerStars on FanDuel traffic
In April 2026, its first month, the room took in almost $770,000 in New Jersey. That was about 80% more than PokerStars NJ made in March, and it moved from fourth place to first. It passed WSOP, which had led the state for more than a year, as well as BetMGM and Borgata.
PokerStars on FanDuel tournaments and series
The Sunday Million returned on April 12, 2026, as two $500,000 guaranteed events with $109 and $1,100 buy-ins. The launch Ignite Series advertised $5 million in guarantees across 90 events. It ran into overlays, and the operator paid more than $1 million to cover the shortfalls.
The regular schedule includes No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments, bounty and Mystery Bounty events, turbos, high rollers and Spin & Gos.
PokerStars on FanDuel software
The room runs on Playtech’s iPoker platform, the first time it has been used in North America. There is a desktop client plus iOS and Android apps, with a built-in HUD and options for tables, cards and sounds.
Cash games cover No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha and mixed games, plus a fast-fold format, from micro stakes up. Early bugs included geolocation and wallet problems, reported in May 2026.

New players get a 100% match on their first deposit up to $1,000. The minimum deposit is $10, and you must opt in. The bonus is released at $5 for every $25 in rake and fees, and you have 120 days to clear it.
That release rate means a full $1,000 bonus needs $5,000 in rake. Most players will clear only part of it, so treat it as rakeback on the first months of play. New players also get poker tickets on signup.
Ongoing rewards come through Dynasty Builder missions. Grind Missions pay up to $1,000 a week in cash across 16 rake milestones, roughly 25% of rake at full completion.
