Apple Pay Sportsbooks in NJ: Deposits, Limits and Withdrawals

By Sean MillerUpdated

Most Apple Pay sportsbooks in NJ take it for deposits only. bet365, BetMGM, Borgata, Caesars, FanDuel, Fanatics and Bally Bet confirm Apple Pay deposits on their own pages, and DraftKings accepts it too. Getting paid back through Apple Pay is rarer: bet365 returns Apple Pay withdrawals to the card behind it, BetMGM and Borgata say Apple Pay withdrawals are allowed, and Bally Bet pays out through it. Caesars and Fanatics don’t.

Apple Pay sportsbooks in NJ, compared

Every detail below comes from the sportsbook’s own banking or help pages. A dash means the sportsbook doesn’t publish it.

Sportsbook Apple Pay deposits Apple Pay withdrawals Published limits Funding rule
bet365 Yes, instant Paid back to the card used to deposit, where possible $10–$30,000 each way Name on the card must match your account
BetMGM Yes, instant, no fee Yes — Add your cards to Apple Wallet first
Borgata Yes, instant, no fee Yes, per its help center — Add your cards to Apple Wallet first
Bally Bet Yes Yes — —
Caesars Yes No $5 minimum digital deposit Visa or Mastercard debit only; no Apple Cash
FanDuel Yes Not offered — —
Fanatics Yes Not offered — Debit cards only
DraftKings Accepts Apple Pay — — —

Borgata’s banking page lists Apple Pay under deposits only, so check the withdrawal screen in your cashier before you count on it. Bally Bet shares one wallet with Bally Casino, so the same Apple Pay option covers sports bets and casino play.

Can you withdraw to Apple Pay at NJ sportsbooks?

Sometimes, and it rarely works the way people expect. Apple Pay isn’t an account that holds money. It passes along the debit card stored in your Apple Wallet. So when a sportsbook “withdraws to Apple Pay,” the money usually goes back to that card.

  • bet365 lists Apple Pay withdrawals as instant, from $10 to $30,000. Where possible it pays them to the same card you deposited with. If it can’t, it sends the money by online banking instead.
  • BetMGM and Borgata answer “Yes” in their help centers to whether you can withdraw to Apple Pay. They don’t publish limits or times for it.
  • Bally Bet pays Apple Pay withdrawals and says most withdrawals are processed within 24 hours.
  • Caesars says outright that Apple Pay withdrawals aren’t supported “due to current regulations” and points you to its debit card option.
  • Fanatics and FanDuel don’t offer Apple Pay as a withdrawal method. Fanatics says withdrawals usually go back to the method you deposited with, where possible, and lists bank transfer and debit card for payouts.

How to deposit with Apple Pay at an NJ sportsbook

  1. Add a debit card to Apple Wallet. BetMGM and Borgata require your card to be registered in Apple Pay before the option works. Your bank decides whether the card can be used with Apple Pay.
  2. Open the cashier and choose Apple Pay. Enter the amount. bet365’s minimum is $10, and Caesars sets a $5 minimum for digital deposits.
  3. Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. The money appears in your balance straight away at bet365, BetMGM and Borgata.

On a browser rather than the app, BetMGM and Borgata say Apple Pay works on iOS mobile web in Safari only.

Apple Pay sports betting in New Jersey: card rules

Apple Pay at an NJ sportsbook is effectively a debit card payment. The rules that apply to the card apply to Apple Pay.

  • Debit, not credit. Caesars accepts only Visa and Mastercard debit cards through Apple Pay. Fanatics limits Apple Pay to debit cards. bet365 files Apple Pay under debit card payments.
  • No Apple Cash. Caesars says Apple Cash can’t be used for real-money gaming.
  • Your name only. bet365 requires the name on the card to match your account.
  • Bank declines happen. Caesars treats gaming deposits as cash-equivalent transactions, so standard card restrictions or fees from your bank may apply. A declined Apple Pay deposit is usually your bank’s decision, not the sportsbook’s.

Several big NJ operators have also stopped taking credit cards outright, so a credit card in your Apple Wallet is unlikely to work even where Apple Pay is offered.

Apple Pay limits and fees

bet365 is the only sportsbook here that publishes a full range: $10 to $30,000 per deposit and per withdrawal. Caesars sets a $5 minimum on digital deposits and a $1 minimum on digital withdrawals. BetMGM and Borgata say they charge no fees on Apple Pay deposits, and the others don’t list one. Any deposit limit you set yourself applies to Apple Pay too.

Using Apple Pay for an NJ sportsbook promo

An Apple Pay deposit funds your account like any other method, so it can cover the qualifying bet for a welcome offer. Match the deposit to the offer minimum:

Sportsbook Welcome offer Promo Code Min deposit
FanDuel Bet $5 a day for 7 days, get $50 in bonus bets each day No Promo Code needed $5
DraftKings Bet $5, get $200 in bonus bets, plus 3 months of NBA League Pass — $5
bet365 Bet $10, unlock $200 in bonus bets — $10
BetMGM Bet $10, get $150 in bonus bets if your bet wins BETMGMBONUS $10
Caesars Bet $1, Double Your Winnings 10x: ten 100% Profit Boosts, up to $25 a boost CZRDYW $10
Fanatics Bet $20, get $350 in FanCash FAN350 $10
Borgata Bet $20, get $100 in bonus bets, win or lose — $20
Bally Bet Bet $10, get $50 in bonus bets — $10

Here’s what FanDuel’s offer costs through Apple Pay. Deposit $35, bet $5 a day for seven days, and you collect $50 in bonus bets each day, or $350 in total. A bonus bet keeps only the profit, so a $50 bonus bet on a -110 line returns $45.45 if it wins. Those bets win about half the time, so seven of them are worth roughly $160 in expected cash, not $350.

Caesars is the one to watch on minimums. Its digital deposit floor is $5, but the welcome offer needs a $10 deposit. Compare every current offer on our NJ sportsbook promos page.

Is Apple Pay a good choice for NJ bettors?

Apple Pay is quick, needs Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode for every deposit, and keeps your card number away from the sportsbook. The trade-offs: most NJ books can’t pay you back through it, it’s iPhone-only, and some banks block gaming transactions on debit cards.

The practical setup: deposit with Apple Pay for speed, and add PayPal or a debit card as your withdrawal route before you need it. See every licensed book on our NJ sportsbooks page.
