How Do Casino Affiliate Programs Work, And Can They Be Trusted?

Affiliate sites can best be described as a recruiting tool for an online casino. Affiliates work directly with the online casino, or a number of online casinos. They earn revenue based upon how many players they get to sign up and open new accounts with the online casino sites.

In general, these affiliate sites such as our NJ.Bet are either working on a revenue sharing plan, or through a cost per acquisition process. With a revenue sharing plan, the affiliate site gets paid via a percentage of the losses while playing at the online casino incurred by a player they encouraged to sign up for their account with that casino. In the case of cost per acquisition, the affiliate site gets a one-time predetermined stipend for every new player that they direct to the online casino. This is often described as a passive income opportunity. The online casino is being marketed to the masses and they aren’t the ones doing that marketing.

Affiliate gambling websites can direct traffic to the online casino via direct marketing – by writing stories that openly discuss what the online casino has to offer to the customer, in terms of both welcome bonuses, other promotional offerings and, of course, a detailed review of all the casino game types they provide to players. These article appeals will be populated with links they ask you to click through in order to sign up for that site. Often, there will also be promo codes provided by the affiliate site that when inserted during the signup process will boost the value of your welcome offer with the online casino.

They may also take a more subtle approach, writing generic news articles that don’t directly discuss the online casino, but still offer the links that you can make use of to open an account with the online casino that they are working with as an affiliate.

Naturally, since these affiliate sites are working so closely with the online casino sites via affiliate programs and networks such as Rush Affiliates or Roar Partners, you might be a bit suspicious about their motives when they are encouraging you to sign up. Well, we’re here to tell you that you’ve got nothing to worry about.

Affiliate sites are governed by the same stringent regulations as the online betting sites. They can’t do anything to get you to sign up with an online casino that would be in violation of those regulations. This would include any type of misleading advertising, such as promising free bets when in fact there is no such thing, or suggesting any bet is a sure thing or a guaranteed winner. To violate these terms would not only bring the wrath of the state regulator, it would also cause issues with the online casino that could result in the end of the partnership with the affiliate site.

So, if you are opting to open a new online casino account through an affiliate site, you can rest assured that they are on the up and up. It’s in their best interests to take such an approach.
