NFL training camps are open, and teams have all played a couple of preseason games, with the games that count starting in less than a month.
With that, there are plenty of great betting future odds to take advantage of this season.
Top Contenders for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year
One that is always interesting is the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award. This year there are plenty of solid candidates that offer really good value.
The favorite is Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. He offers decent value to make a little money at +145 odds at Fanduel Sportsbook.
Washington QB Jayden Daniels, the No. 2 overall pick, offers some solid value at +600 over at Fanduel Sportsbook. While Williams got much of the hype, Daniels could be the guy who captures the award and brings you a decent return.
Outside of the Top 2 QBs is Arizona wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who will be paired with QB Kyler Murray, giving him the potential for a big rookie season with odds of +850 with the current betMGM bonus code NJDOTBET.
Those are the Top 3 candidates with a big drop-off after them.
Best Value Bets and Sleeper Picks
Of that group, I think Daniels offers the best value and could easily be this year’s version of CJ Stroud, who won the award last year after an outstanding 4,108 yards and 23 touchdowns for Houston.
Can Daniels approach those numbers? He has some interesting weapons with Terry McLaurin and rookie slot man Luke McCaffrey at his disposal.
After the Top 3, there are some players with very good value:
- Caleb Williams +145
- Jayden Daniels +600
- Marvin Harrison Jr. +850
- Malik Nabers +1400
- Bo Nix +1800
- Xavier Worthy +2200
- Kevin Coleman +3500
- Drake Maye +3500
- Ladd McConkey +3500
If you want someone outside the Top 3, sprinkle a little play on Worthy, who could have a big year in Kansas City with Patrick Mahomes looking his way, and at +2200, you’ll get a great return on your investment.
One name not in the Top 10 to keep an eye on is Vegas tight end Brock Bowers, who was the No. 13 overall pick and has +5000 odds with the bet365 bonus code USB365 for a free sports bet.
The three-time All-American could get a ton of catches in Vegas with uncertainty at the QB position between Aiden O’Donnell and Garden Minshew battling for the starting job.
Bowers posted an eye-popping 275 catches for 2,538 yards and 26 touchdowns for Georgia.
Generally, the tight end becomes the QB’s security blanket, giving the very talented Bowers a chance to have a breakout rookie campaign.
Another guy who has opened eyes during the campaign is Giants rookie Malik Nabers. If he had a better offense and quarterback, I’d really like the play at +1400, but he isn’t in the best offensive situation, so a smaller play on him as a longshot is the recommendation.
As we approach the start of the regular season, these numbers could fluctuate, so pay attention to your favorite sportsbook.
